How much carbs do one need to ake in per day? I heard 130g.?

Answer:
Not enough information to give you an accurate answer, but I'll try to steer you in the right direction.First, you need to figure out how many calories you need to consume just to maintain your current body weight. The most accurate formula goes like this:1. Take your weight and multiply it by 6.3
2. Take your height in inches and multiply it by 12.9.
3. Add those two numbers together.
4. Add 66 to the number you just came up with.
5. Multiply your age by 6.8
6. SUBTRACT that number from the number you came up with in step 4.I'll use myself as an example: I'm 39 years old, 6'4" tall, and weigh 225 pounds. So here's how the math works:6.3 x 225 = 1,417.512.9 x 76 = 980.41,417.5 + 980.4 + 66 = 2,463.96.8 x 39 = 265.22,463.9 - 265.2 = 2,198.7, rounded off to 2,200 calories/dayOnce you have figured out how many calories you need just to maintain, you have to figure in your goals. If you want to gain a pound per week, add 500 calories per day. If you want to lose a pound a week on diet alone, subtract 500 calories per day. If you want to lose 2 pounds per week on diet alone, subtract 1,000 calories per day. WARNING! NEVER go under 1,400 calories a day if you're a woman or 1,800 calories a day if you're a man. If you eat too little, your body goes into starvation mode. When that happens, your body greedily hangs on to every last bit of body fat you have and your metabolism slows down. Don't want to go there. Now you should have the total number of calories you need to consume per day in order to meet your goals. Assuming you don't want to add fat or muscle, the best nutrient ratio is an even three-way split between carbs, protein, and fat (1/3 of your daily total calories from each nutrient).Using myself as an example again, let's say I want to maintain my weight, so my baseline is 2,200 calories/day. Multiply 2,200 by 1/3 and you get 733 calories from carbs, 733 calories from protein, and 733 calories from fat. Since carbs and protein are both 4 calories per gram, divide 733 by 4 and you get a little over 183g of carbs and protein per day. Fat is 9 calories per gram, so I need a little over 81g of fat per day.Does that help?
it depends on how much you weigh and what gender ask your doctor its different for everyone
I have taken 20g or less for months on end with no ill effects. Actually helped me lose weight on a lo-carb diet.
It depends on the individual and your activity level. I would advice you to log your food intake at www.fitday.com and monitor it from there. Take note of your activity level as well for the week and you will see how much carbs or calories you would need for yourself by seeing whether you put on weight or maintain your weight after a week.
