How many pounds can i lose in a week by fasting...?

I feel kinda insecure in a swimming suit and i just want to drop about 10 pounds.
i know i know its not healthy but im just going to do it a week and then stop
also i am going to exercise while i fast
but at the end of each day for the rest of the week im going to have a little cottage cheese to help me out
sooo have any guesses as to how many pounds i will lose
and be honset!!
Answer:
IT IS NOT HEALTHY! I would recommend adding fruit and vegetable snacks, and just exercising.
bad idea, girlfriend. I'm sure you are gorgeous.. don't waste your time hurting your body like that over ten lbs.
Well, how much do you usually eat per week? Divide the weight in half(half the food stays in you, half is pooped), then subtract that amount to what you weigh now. That will tell you how much you'll lose.
Proven fact- while fasting (starving yourself) your brain sends signals to your body to store fat...its a survival chip. SO if you want to loose quick weight, eat very small amounts about every 2 or 3 hours. That also increases your metabolism. Drink lots of water.
4 days = 2 pounds for me
i tried it last week
no food. just tomato juice, watermelon %26 papayaz + water
i fast two times a year and i say you would drop about 15 pounds if you fast 30 days but it's not worth it just eat healthy thing and if you do fast dont eat to much or you will just be puting more pounds on your self and im sure you have a nice body
I agree with the source above, don't stop eating, but rather just eat very small amounts~healthy stuff, not candy or junk food. If you'd rather fast than exercise then I suggest you be extremely careful of your body and remind yourself you are doing this for only one week. When food is not eaten, the body looks for other ways to find energy such as fat, sugar, and glucose stored away. The Body, brain and nerve tissue depend on glucose for metabolism. Once the glucose is significantly used up, the body's metabolism changes, producing ketone bodies- basically by-products of fatty acids when they are broken down for energy~ this is what people do when they run out of glucose/sugar and start to burn fat.Even where this transition to alternative forms of energy has been made, some parts of the brain still require glucose, and protein is still needed to produce it. If body protein loss continues, death is certain because the body does not have enough protein.Hope you lose your ten pounds..but try to find an alternative way next time.
Shhh.. I'll tell you a somewhat healthy way to fast but keep it a secret. First, make sure you have a good multi vitamin, like the GNC brand one for women. Also, buy a green powder drink like Kyo Green or buy a vege-supplement pill like Spirulina. You still need decent nutirion and the greens give you energy. Also, try a B-vitamin pill (any B that isn't used by the body is urinated out so you can enjoy your Bs). Believe it or not, you need to consume fat to lose fat (buy healthy fats, like flax seed oil or fish oil in pills). In the morning, take your multi-vitamin, a B-pill, your healthy fat pills, some green supplment, and have a little bit of whole-grain carbs (carbs are the body's energy and you need at least a little bit of energy). Three to four hours later, have a snack (cottage cheese?). Two to three hours later have a tiny lunch. Three to four hours later have a small dinner (include some carbs for energy.. maybe a whole-wheat tortilla, something with protein [a piece of frozen 100 calorie grilled chicken], and some vegs). If you want to make your meals super easy to prepare, hit up frozen dinners like lean cuisine (my favorite when cutting [body building term for dieting] are the lean cuisine salmon dinners with whole grain pasta). A little bit after dinner, go workout. Come home and eat again! Eat something small but packed with protein. Maybe a protein bar or more cottage cheese. During every major meal make sure to swallow some fish or flax seed pills, as well as you green supplementation.Fat is a must to consume because if you don't eat them, then your body thinks you're not getting them so it starts to store your food as fat. Additionally, if you starve yourself then your body puts itself in a starvation-mode and it will start storing food you consume as fat after you're done fasting (body thinks, "OMG, I'm starving.. I better store some fat in case I start starving again!"). Very important fact... burning food requires a ton of energy (calories), so when you don't eat you're missing out on calories your body could be burning (it's why after a hug meal people get tired.. cause their body is so concentrated on burning the meal that everything else tires down). Start eating 5 to 6 small meals per day and your metabolism will go on a kick-start after a while... every three to four hours it will press its gas pedal down and ask for more gas to burn. My metabolism is INSANE because of this kick-start.. I can get away with eating 'cheat meals' without any ill-effects because my body processes it so fast. 5-6 meals = a mighty metabolism.Okay, about your cottage cheese fasting diet. It won't work. You'll maybe lose a couple of pounds but once you start eating again, as I mentioned, your body will start storing a lot of that food as fat in case you start starving again. So, you'll quickly gain fat again. Be smart and fast smart.
