How many muscles should you work out in one day??

Im trying to get a good routine going and I've heard you should mix up the areas you work over different days.
Im not trying to get REALLY big, but gain some bulk and a lot of strength.
Is it ok to do this routine 5 days a week?
Bench press - 3 sets
Incline dumbell press - 3 sets
Seated shoulder raise - 3 sets
Standing curls - 3 sets
Pull ups - 3 sets
Sit ups - 3 sets.
And some cardio thrown in when I can be stuffed, like and hour on the bike or jogging for 30-40 mins.
Any better suggestions.

No, don't do that five times a week. Your muscles need 48-72 hours of rest between workouts for recovery time. Plus, your legs could use some weight training for balance or you'll end up looking like Johnny Bravo and becoming subject to ridicule from girls at the gym. That's a good upper body workout, and you're not overtraining anything with it in the course of one day, so try it 2-3 times a week.

i would say 2-4
it is not okay to do that, your muscles are over worked and there is way more workout in the pushing muscles (shoulders, triceps, chest) than in the pulling(back, biceps), and no leg workout!the few muscles ytou do workout don't get a day off in between!do this-monday-back and biceps, intense cardio, hard ab workout
tuesday-legs, light cardio, light ab workout
wednesday- chest, intense cardio, hard ab workout
thursday-legs again, light cardio, light ab workout
friday- Triceps, traps, and shoulders, intense cardio, hard ab workout
That an ok workout for upper body but wheres the leg workout and back workout?Better idea would be splitting your routin like this:
Chest and back:
Pec Flies
Incline Press
Bent over row
Deadlifts
ChinsLegs:
Leg Extensions
Squats
Calf Raises
If you feel you need to add stiff leg Deadlifts (you should get a bit of a workout in the deadlifts on the first workout)Arms and shoulders:
Palms up lat pulldown
Barbell curl
Tricep extensions
Skull crushers
Military press
Rear Delt fliesYou should have a days rest between each workout. Cardio should be done on the days where weights arent done. Have one rest day.Recovery is sooo important so make sure you dont workout a body part if its still sore.
